Weather in Iran

Since Iran is relatively a large country, the weather can vary considerably from north to south or west to east. The difference of temperature between summer and winter is also relatively high.

However as a rule of thumb, in terms of weather and temperature the best period to visit Iran is from March to May. In this period the temperature can vary from 15°C to 25°C. Consequently the prices are the highest in these months, especially during the Norouz holidays (March 21st to April 3rd).

In the period June to October, the temperature is higher and might be too warm for many travelers, thus the prices would also be slightly lower. It could reach up to 38°C. However since almost everywhere is equipped with airco, it would still not be impossible to enjoy your visit!

Between November to February, the temperature can reach minus degree and occasionally heavy snow can be experienced, especially in the northern part of the country. Coldest cities are located in the north west and warmest in the southern part of the land.
